Collection: NEW Handmade Watercolors

Hello Friends!

I'm very excited to announce very very soon release of my very own mineral pigment watercolor paints and not only that but they are included as a part of a travel kit which is now available for pre-order!

Each paint is composed of a single mineral pigment combined with a vegan watercolor binder made in house and mulled by hand on a tempered glass slab right here in our home studio.

Paints are then measured and poured into leaf molds and allowed to air dry for anywhere from 10-15 days depending on the individual pigment.

Exceptional care and attention was taken to sculpt clay into the perfect palettes that will fit the molded paints perfectly within them; after several trials, hand and machine sanding to shape palettes and smooth edges so they'll fit perfectly in our travel tins, we've landed on our current leaf palettes that hold 8 of our mineral pigment paints.

Our first batch of paints is all the same volume, despite the visual tricks being played on your mind by the different sizes of leaves, they are all filled by volume using a syringe to ensure they all have the same quantity of paint which is 0.5ml, which equates to the size of a mini pan. Starting with such small quantities allowed me the opportunity to carefully monitor and document the formulation and drying times to be able to replicate this process for future batches while reducing waste from failed batches; I keep and use the "failed" batches of paints in different forms for my mixed media projects.
